2019 F-150 Raptor Gets New Trail Control Feature

The long-awaited 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor is almost here! Ford promises it will be available nationwide, including here at Shults Ford, before the end of 2018. With it will come a brand new technology called Trail Control.

Ford describes Trail Control as “cruise control for off-road driving.” Trail Control will make it easier for drivers to steer in challenging off-road environments by closely managing braking and throttle. Specifically, Trail Control helps F-150 Raptor drivers when they battle steep obstacles by intelligently directing torque to each wheel and applying the right amount of brake pressure to bring all wheels down to the ground safely and effectively. Trail Control is also useful in digging the F-150 Raptor out of terrains like sand when the wheels get stuck.

Drivers can engage Trail Control at speeds of 1 to 20 miles per hour, and it can be used in all 4×4 modes; Raptor is the only pickup truck that allows this.

But it’s not just the new 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor that will benefit from the off-road features of Trail Control. The new 2019 Ford Ranger will also be available with Trail Control when it arrives here at Shults Ford in early 2019.

Until then, stay tuned for more updates!
